Wedding Video Highlights and Murals

by Jimmy on May 25, 2010

In my previous post, I talked about shooting and editing my first wedding video for my friend’s brother’s wedding.  Well, with their permission, I posted some of the highlights from their wedding in the video above.  It’s 11 minutes of highlights from the 36 minute video I produced for them.

So if you liked what you saw in the video, tell your engaged friends that Jimbob Movies is in the business of making wedding videos and in the words of Lt. Aldo Raine, “Business is a-boomin’.”  Well not really in my case, but I think I could start managing to produce one wedding video every month and still have time to devote to my movies.  Plus, the extra money I get from doing wedding videos will go towards producing my summer/fall dream: a badass feature length Western movie set in D.C.  One could call this dream movie of mine a rugged Eastern, but Western is a more recognized genre.

I guarantee that a Jimbob Movies produced wedding video will be very memorable and unique compared to what a run-of-the-mill wedding video production company will give you.  I am so sure in fact that you can check out my local competitors here.  Compare their wedding video highlights to my wedding video highlights above.  The other wedding video production companies basically place video clips and photos into a montage and then put sacchrine music over it and then charge you $1500.  And if you want extra DVDs, HD quality, or the original video clips, they charge you hundreds of dollars more.  Let’s just say that I charge less and most of those “extras” that other wedding production companies charge for are pretty much standard in my fee.  Plus, I usually finish the wedding video within 4-6 weeks.

As you can see, I try to capture the spirit of the wedding and the personality of the bride and groom.  However, I do try to make things playful for the most part, yet classy when it comes to those sacred wedding moments.  I try to get all the appropriate guests involved in the video through interviews that elicit humorous and poignant responses.

So if you are interested in having a wedding video made by Jimbob Movies, please contact me at nguyen.jimmy17@gmail.com.  I also offer the unique service of painting murals for your wedding.  Just imagine a large, beautiful mural of your inspiration displayed as a backdrop in your wedding.  Or if you are planning on having a baby or already have a small infant, I can paint a mural on the wall of their nursery.  Heck, I can paint a mural for any reason or anyone.  Wedding videos and murals, I can do it for you.

Here is a mural I painted in my tiny room while I was in the Peace Corps in Peru.  The different colors and dreamscapes helped cheer me up and inspire me when I was in a funk isolated in my small mountain village.  Hopefully, the mural I paint for you will have the same effect.
